Just a Really Strange Stone Object I Though I’d Share

This one is so strange that I caved and posted it.  This is a 1.3 x 1.3 cm piece of stone.  The photos show it in a few different angles.  It’s just a little, weird ‘thing’

Looks like some melted metal or glass/ceramic.

Slag or something, perhaps.

Maybe a piece of wire mesh?

Check it with a neodymium magnet. The interior appears ferrous or rusty , like as suggested to be metal, melted and or slag. Some high temp furnace/fire heat.

Looks like a fragment of the mesh of a crab pot.

Thank, Everyone, for the feedback.  I took a magnet to it and it *slightly* reacted but it still acted like a stupid rock.  So I took a lighter to it and proceeded to fill my hobby room with thick black smoke.  I am left with two very separate pieces of wire that went straight into the trash.

 

Chalk another one up to lessons learned that should have been common sense.
