New Members Mr. Erd Posted May 20 New Members Share Posted May 20 First post, and today was my first time ever fossil hunting. I took my 4 year old son, who had a blast. In addition to about 40 teeth of goblins, crows, and mackerel sharks, I found a really cool broken mosasaur, and whatever this thing is. It kind of looks like a large tooth? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Thomas.Dodson
Looks more like an ironstone concretion to me. As I understand it, the streams there are chock full of them.
Fossildude19
Agree with concretion. The concentric layers are a giveaway. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
