Not really sure what it is. I bought it at a thrift store for my garden but the more I look at it the more questions I have.

Thank you for taking the time to look at it.

great one, looks like a scupture of a dancer!

Might be this is a burrow filling from a burrowing animal like a crab

Nice piece of stone! Your 5,6,8,9th pics appear to show some fossil material (5th and 6th definetly 8 and 9 possibly) I’ve seen these before but never bothered to identify them yet sorry. It appears to be an old piece of sea floor as the pieces I’ve seen have been in with shells etc… the black pieces in picture 6 when you blow it up reminds me of fish bone fragments……but of course I could always be wrong LOL!

Looks like a Henry Moore statue, but I think it's just made out of rock, although there may just be a few fossils in it which are hard to decipher from the photos.

Definitely the fossilized remains of a decapitated quadriplegic alien. Just kidding. It's Venus de Milo's brother, Julian. :heartylaugh:How heavy is that? Looks like it's two feet tall in the first photo.

Mark.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

It's a man-made concrete statue of a dancer indeed. The 'fossil' shell material you see is shell grit that's often mixed in with the sand they use to make the concrete with.

To me it looks worked, see the carved nostrils and eyes?  Maybe an old attempt at sculpting a Carroway or Shoebill.

Nothing about this looks at all manmade or tooled in any way to me.

Really? The very first pic go up the centerline of the "beak" to the "nostrils that are clearly tooled and centered and just beyond you have the eye.

This is just a piece of oddly weathered limestone. Nothing man-made about this.

This is chip in whatever it is. The white seems to be on the surface.

I don't think so. The dark material may indeed be chipped, but patches of dark material are common in limestone. This looks quite natural to me.

Weathering can significantly change the color of the outer layer of rocks.

I would Like to Thank everyone for taking the time and sharing their thoughts.

After review and great thought about a such an important subject I have come to a conclusion.

As sole owner I have deemed this to be a " Scholars Rock" or a "Viewing Stone"..

Best Regards
