Unknown Fossil. Ammonite fragment?

I found this on the Jurrasic coast of the U.K some years ago. I have long believed it to be a section of ammonite but I would just like some other opinions as it's unlike other ammonite sections I have found. it is preserved in pyrite. I have tried to show part of the cross section too.

Yes, it's very worn ammonite. At that size, and with spine bases showing in the first photo, it's probably Eteoderoceras which is common in pyrite at Charmouth.

(By the way, as you'll know, "Jurassic Coast" covers a large length of the south coast, encompassing virtually all of the Jurassic which has many different beds with their own characteristic fossils. So it's a good idea to say on the post which part a find is from - not everyone looks at the tags. :) )
