Jim, I didn't read the comments, but I read something worst from a semi-official source on FB: "We're working hard to preserve and develop (interesting juxtaposition, huh?) the beautiful soft bodied faunas in Utah's West Desert. Such sites have traditionally been treated with higher regard in other countries. Go Canada!" This comment makes me very concerned about the future of amateur trilobite collecting in UT (and California and Nevada...)
