Hieronymus
Hi everybody, Just posting some of my Parotodus benedeni from Belgium, some good ones and some broken ones. Beachfind Kallo, Belgium Good first lower anterior from Antwerp, Belgium. Rare position to find. I believe this one to be a first lower anterior as well? A specimen that is pretty well preserved, Antwerp. Another one I like very much. Well, now it's up to the damaged teeth, ranging from "Ow if it wasn't for that root lobe!" 'till "Wasn't any good anyway". I hope you guys can enjoy http://rhaetianlorraine.webs.com/

Hieronymus
Really nice specimens. Come they out from the Antwerpen docks? Except for the Beachfind, yes. The Beachfind comes from Knokke, Belgium. All other teeth were found on the same spot -with sand suppletions from the Churchilldock- except for the one from Kallo, but Kallo is also the Antwerp dock region:-). http://rhaetianlorraine.webs.com/
fossiljunkie
nice. my brother and i both got our first ones in august of this year- 4 days apart in 2 different locations, talk about strange coincidence . very cool teeth. i found the large black tooth my brother found the tooth with cusps. the black one measures about 2 1/4" the tooth with cusps at about 1 1/4" Today's the day! siteseer
A partial Parotodus is still a good one since they are so rare in any condition. I think that third tooth is actually a mako - root not very robust and the crown is high. The fourth tooth is certainly a Parotodus lower anterior - robust root, rather low, broad-based crown.
