siteseer
Interesting. I didn't get an idea of how sparsely-populated Nevada was (and still is) until I started driving across it in the early 90's. A friend, who went to the School of Mines told me there are sites for a wide variety of fossils Cambrian to Pleistocene. On his field trips they found bags full of brachiopods, and of course, there are numerous trilobite sites. Most sites are in the middle of nowhere but there are also some close to Reno and Vegas.
