Uncle Siphuncle
I took a more relaxed approach to collecting in September than I did in July...still some fun finds however. jimmy1971
Great report Dan! I love the cut and polished Ammonites! Where is your lapidary guy located? Is it terribly expensive to have those Ammonites cut and polished? I'd love to have a couple of mine cut and polished like that.

Uncle Siphuncle
His name is Dan Kelly and he is in Oregon. He runs D&B Rockwerks. Cutting and polishing is roughly $6+/- per inch of diameter. He wasn't my cheapest quote but he was easiest to contact and seemed eager to do the work. If all goes well I'll jump back on here and put in a plug for his business once he finishes the sencond lot. People who are hard to reach scare me....like the taxidermist who disappeared with my $200 deposit, buffalo skull and hide...... Edited October 7, 2010 by danwoehr Grüße, Daniel A. MikeD
Great report! Quite nice Rastellum and Trigonia specimens, along with the herd of urchins. I was wondering how those ammonites were going to turn out. Very cool.
