Wrangellian
We were talking about this site on another thread, so I thought I would put these up.. Here are some Driftwood Canyon pieces I acquired from someone, Not the best I have seen from that site by any stretch and I'm sure some of you have better (show us!), but they're among the best of my sampling.. If anyone can ID these for me, I would appreciate that.

Markovic
Super! I've seen similar specimens on E-bay. They were pretty expensive.
palaeopix
Hey Eric, here's my only specimen from Driftwood Canyon. It's by no means the best specimen but it's one of the earliest in my collection. As mentioned in the other thread I received this as a gift in 1980 while working in Kitimat, British Columbia. Plecia sp. The specimen is 1cm in length. Maybe we can convince piranha to include his water strider on this thread too!!

palaeopix
Great fly fossil Dan! Thanks Scott, but it's nowhere near as nice as that water strider!
Wrangellian
Thanks Scott, but it's nowhere near as nice as that water strider! Your fly is pretty nice, Dan, it's comparable to the waterstrider, tho maybe more common. I have a few Plecias too (McAbee) but I think yours has them beat. Thanks all of you, especially Inyo for the Info.
Wrangellian
Super! I've seen similar specimens on E-bay. They were pretty expensive. From the same site? I can't believe the price of some of the fossils on ebay. It's a different age we live in.
