Equus Molar.

This was one of my first fossils while at North Myrtle Beach, SC this summer, and when I found it I thought it was a piece of melted black electrical cable. When I scratched it I knew it wasn't electrical cable because it was rock hard. I took it to our local museum and found out it was a Equus molar from maybe the Pleistocene epoch. Since I had just really started getting into fossil hunting this was exciting.

The other 2 items could be Equus molars but not sure.

I like your story about thinking it was melted electrical cable; glad you followed through :)

I bet a lot of members can cite similar beginnings ;)

Nice preservation for teeth in your neck of the woods. I can't seem to find enough of those Equus sp. teeth for an ID.

Also, Id like to see what everyone says about that last "tooth" - It looks pretty interesting.
