Exceptional as aways. In the first photo, are those upper teeth that are still attached to what looks like the roof of the mouth bone? Thanks for sharing. Always love to see your finds.B)

I had thought you disappeared. Glad to see that you are still around as I always drool when you post your "pit" finds. Why did the megafauna go extinct? Answer: Podope took all their teeth out!!

Wow Peter, they are all amazing. The intact mastodon maxilla seems to be a fragile find. Would this be "Mammut borsoni"? Also, is the Anancus tooth above the M. borsoni tooth?

Many thanks for correction.

The 1. picture: Mammut borsoni maxilla.

the 2. Picture: Upper tooth: Anancus avernensis tooth

Lower tooth: Mammut borsoni tooth.

Both type from lower pleistocene.

Those teeth are fantastic and so are the bones...

Yes, the first shot does look like you got the mouth roof too. How lucky can

one get.. I have never seen that before..

I can not post photo's of entire collection because I have no exhibition place.

After conservation I put the fossils in the boxes.
