Auspex
Yuppers! The complexities of flight require real-time processing of vast amounts of information, compounded by the fact that inherent instability is requisite for aerial agility. It's not all visual, either, since birds can "feel" the air pressure changes on every feather, all the time! Nandomas
Three-dimensional X-ray scanning equipment is being used to help chart the evolution of flight in birds, by digitally reconstructing the size of bird brains using ancient fossils and modern bird skulls. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/01/110103110154.htm Erosion... will be my epitaph! http://www.paleonature.org/ https://fossilnews.org/
