MikaelS
Might add that O. limhamnensis is convergently similar to Cretodus crassidens with an extremely robust root and reduced width of the neck. Neither C. ex gr. borealis nor O. limhamnensis appear to have made it across the Danian-Selandian boundary. The referral of Davis' (1890) limhamnensis to Otodus is provisional. Although clearly an otodontid it is far from certain that it is more closely related to O. aff. O. obliquus than to any of the Cretalamna species.
siteseer
Here is the Cretodus I have from the Cenomanian of Morocco. It's 13/16 inches high (just over 20 mm). Lingual and labial views.
siteseer
Just to be clear, that tooth is from the Kem Kem Beds. It's not from the late Cretaceous phosphates.
