Auspex
Slowly grows the collection of bird fossils from Hell Creek (at this rate, I'll have a small Riker mount full in 20 years). This bird claw core and toe bone were collected from an under ground site in Garfield County, MT. They were not associated, and may not even be from the same species (and with the state of the knowledge about these rare fossils, such may never be known). Still, they look good together . Wrangellian
Good stuff, Auspex. Definitely looks like bird parts to this untrained eye! Something I may never have in my collection, though I do have some unID'd bones that someone told me one or two of them MIGHT be bird.. no claws tho'.
