NCteeth
Hi, my names Dustin and I have a collecting problem. It all started when I was a child collecting cards and comics. Then a few years ago I bought a metal detector and its expanded to a few different things since then. Coins, relics, bottles, arrowheads and now fossils. Read about a 10 year old local girl and her fossil hobby in the paper and it got me interested.
Harry Pristis
Hello, Dustin . . . Welcome to the Forum. You are among friends here, many of us suffer from your "problem." The medicos call it "pliopragmatic colligeropathy," but I just think of it as the "collector's disease." What sort of teeth do you collect in NC? How about some pix? BTW, I trade fossils for antique bottles. -----------Harry Pristis http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
Guest Cris
Welcome, Dustin. We all suffer from that "problem", I believe. Only cure for it is to go out and collect! If you take your camera out with you when you hunt, make sure to take pictures of the creek... I'm interested in seeing what it looks like.... and pictures of screening... Nothin' gets the heart beating like a picture of a screen or gravel bar with teeth on/in it.

NCteeth
I'll post a pic tonight of some of my finds from there...teeth, indian artifacts etc. From what I've gathered from other people who have hunted there megs and great whites are the popular teeth to be found. Mako, Tiger, Goblin, Croc and some mosasaur teeth have been found also. Not sure what kind but there is tons of bone, possibly whale. Plenty of belemites to go around. Thats the only place I've been fossil hunting but I'd like to find more places. I don't know if any of you guys have any resources that would help me out in local places to look or not.
