2thfindr Posted August 16, 2011 Share Posted August 16, 2011 hello everyone me and a friend of mine are going to be in charleston sc sept 9-10. was just wondering if anyone had any locations or wanted to hunt with us at some of your local spots. i have heard about snorkeling the edisto river but dont know to much about it. any info would be great. thanks everyone. Lee Taylor Posted September 6, 2011 Share Posted September 6, 2011 The Edisto river is extremely low at the current time. It appears to be down about 10 feet. Most places it is 3 to 5 feet deep until you get down close to the ocean. A lot of people prefer it low for hunting fossils. Makes them easier to get to. I can offer some suggestions if you like. Below is a video clip I took this past weekend. The area where I am standing would usually be under 12 to 14 feet of water.
