Fitch
What species of extinct animals lived in WV during the Pleistocene? I know of the groundsloth, mammoth, and mastodon, but what else? Also were the giant tortoises here?
Auspex
Good question! I know there are some pretty famous cave sites, so I turned to Google and stumbled upon this: Prehistoric West Virginia "There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about." - Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” - Thomas Henry Huxley >Paleontology is an evolving science. >May your wonders never cease! squali
2 volumes totaling 994 pages is pretty weak  It's hard to remember why you drained the swamp when your surrounded by alligators.

MarkGelbart
Thanks, it doesn't look like much has been found here. You're wrong. Right off the top of my head I know that cheetah, jaguar, saber-tooth, vampire bat, beautiful armadillo, and long-nosed peccary have been found in West Virginia. West Virginia has a lot of cave sites that yield a great deal of fossil evidence from the Pleistocene especially of smaller species.
