ASG
I hope this is the correct place to ask this, if not then sorry in advance. I bought this Trilobite at a flea market out of town for $8 (I think..it wasn't much). I took pictures, let me know if you need more or what info you need. Lenth: about 7 1/2 cm width: 4 6/8 cm from head thanks ASG Edited August 29, 2011 by ASG

Malcolmt
Definately real, either from Morroco or Bolivia, an Eldredgia of some type. Pictures are not the best. I have seen these "B" grade specimens (a long ways from perfect but pretty much whole) wholesaling for $3.00 to $4.00 in large lots so 8 dollars is not an unreasonable price to pay. If you want to get a more perfect looking trilobite look on ebay , you can generally get an eldredgiops (also called Phacops) for $5.00 to $10 plus shipping if you bid on an auction at the last minute. There are some nice ones ususally available that have been found in New York state ( datk black on grey matrix)
