Life 42
Thanks to Irene we spent 6 days without power and 6 days with a swollen creek! I must say instead of worrying about the food in the fridge that was spoiling all I could think of was our fossils being washed away. Finally on Saturday we were able to venture down the the creek. The water was still a bit high but manageable. While surveying the area I first noticed something buried halfway in the clay. very cool jaw and also a vert. Not sure they belong together but since they were buried together I didn't think I should separate. I also found some neat teeth that had made their way to the surface no sifting or digging needed. ...I'd rather be digging...Life
Life 42
We did a little sifting too.. Love the smaller teeth - and lastly I pick up every bone (and there are a lot) looking for evidence of shark attack! This whale bone is the closest I have found. It could also just be wear and tear of a million years but I'd like to believe we have bite marks! obsessed1
We did a little sifting too.. Love the smaller teeth - I am always amazed at the finds from your little creek. You are so very lucky to have a place like that! Not sure if you have ID'ed that top left tooth yet. It is a tooth from Bramble Shark. A very rare find indeed! Life 42
Thanks for the Id Obsessed1. I tried looking but didn't find anything myself. This winter will be busy labeling all these teeth but hopefully it will ease the depression of not being able to go creekin'. ...I'd rather be digging...Life

Life 42
Mike thinks we have another one of those bramble teeth somewhere mis-labeled as cowshark so instead of catching up on the weeks worth of laundry he is looking through bags and boxes From what I can tell the teeth seem to all be similar, top and bottom. Any suggested links? - already hit up Elasmo ...I'd rather be digging...Life
