Nandomas
Devonian Dreams: The Imagery of Art Murphy, an exhibition of photographs by Catskill photographer Art Murphy, is scheduled to open on September 23 at the Museum of the Earth in Ithaca, New York. The work consists of images taken of 380-million-year-old fossils found by Art in and around his home in the Hudson Valley. The opening is set to coincide with Treasures of the Earth: The Nature of Collecting, an exhibit of the stories behind some of the world-class specimens in the Museum's permanent collection. Both exhibitions will be on display through early January 2012. http://www.paleonature.org/photography/157-devonian-dreams-the-imagery-of-art-murphy Edited September 22, 2011 by Nandomas Erosion... will be my epitaph! http://www.paleonature.org/ https://fossilnews.org/

erose
I really like the photos. Well composed images. The little mixed media boxes are precious. There is a lot of "fossil art" out there that is just so boring. These are truly gallery worthy. Hey moderators. Could we start a Gallery of Fossil Art? I have some fun, maybe boring, stuff my daughter has made that I would add as well as some stuff I have seen over the years. It could range from illustrations to jewelry to sculpture. Just a thought.
