Uncle Siphuncle
The couple days we spent collecting Solnhofen culminated in a visit to the Burgermeister Mueller Museum. Dr. Martin Roeper, right, is Direktor of the museum and Wolfgang Mages, left, works with the museum and was our collecting guide. Both guys are standing in front of the impressive fish mortality slab found by Dr. Roeper and displayed in the museum. The second image shows a rare Rhabdocidaris echinoid with articulated spines shown to us behind the scenes before prep. This is a spectacular recent find found in one of the quarries we were fortunate to hunt. Thanks again Nando for the networking connection. Grüße, Daniel A.
