bdevey Posted October 1, 2011 Share Posted October 1, 2011 Mummified forest Great post Nando. I wonder how many times, fossil mummified wood has been tossed aside, as roots? I have found remains of stems at a leaf fossil site before, that are not carbonized or premineralized. Would that mean there mummifed? Hmmm.....I never thought to see if they would burn.
