Uncle Siphuncle
Guys I dug this vert and leg bone in situ out of a bank that was definitely Pleistocene. I scribed lots of hard matrix and clay off of both specimens as testament to their age (don't let the color and sharp detail fool you). In reviewing my references it looks like this TX vert might be tapir, but then again it looks like lots of other critters too. Any ideas? Grüße, Daniel A. Uncle Siphuncle
That would be way cool...but were glyptodont verts fused to the carapace? I ask out of ignorance. Grüße, Daniel A.
