I am actually speechless! Beautiful Apsopelix anglicus! The turtle material is so interesting. All I seem to find is part's of the shell in my area. Great pic's and thank you for sharing your finds.

Thanks! This is really about 2/3 of my collection- this post is pretty old :)

I like the way you have the pictures showing what the animal would have looked like. I may have to steal your idea!

Is an older post, but the new display boxes look great!

Thanks for showing this beautiful collection.

And all that material in just three years of hunting!!!

How often do you go and search that place?

Do you find these in a quarry or in (weathered) surface rocks?

Thanks sir!

I go about once or twice a month, and do surface collecting. The terrain is pretty rough and there are lots of fossil hiding holes! The pic at the beggining gives idea of what it's like.

Wow this is an old thread but with much older (and cooler) fossils! I LOVE Kansas chalk fish, I just think they are so interesting! Would be amazing to be able to do my own hunting out in the chalk. I'm very impressed by your collection. :)

Yes, some of these old threads are well worth visiting, that's for sure.

Lovely fish and other stuff, fine specimens. :)
