Christmas Presents

Here are two fossils that I received as Christmas presents this year. One is a posterior meg from Chile and the other is a tooth from Hybodus longiconus, a Trissiac Hybodont shark. I was thrilled to add these fossils to my collection. It's my first Chilean meg and my first hybodont tooth from that particular species.

That meg tooth is sweet. And the hybodont shark tooth is an interesting display.

DO, or do not. There is no try.

Sweet little Meg. I also really like the Hybodont tooth especially because it's on the matrix... I suppose because I used to live in Florida and did a lot of collecting there where you rarely find anything in matrix, I really like pieces like that.

congratulations on the very cool new additions to your collection. both have very nice "eye appeal" for display.

While I didn't get any neat fossils for Christmas; my daughter bought my wife and I bikes so we could get more exercise. with the bikes, she got us helmets. Heres Mine:
