trempie4
Found a car, found Whiskey Bridge, found a few fossils, but didn't not find any whiskey (until later.....) Special thanks to SilverPhoenix for pointing me in the right direction. Had a great time slipping and sliding in the mud, and while nothing I found will set the world of paleontology on fire, it did stoke my soul. Heading to Waco Pit tomorrow morning, wish me luck. My humble gatherings of 45 minutes below..... Joe... (evolution ROCKS....)

silverphoenix
Looks like you had a good day at the site--the variety and condition of the shells is amazing there isn't it? Here's an ID guide that will help you to identify the most common fossils from the site: http://www.hgms.org/...gGuide1and2.pdf I've found all but Cornulina armigera and Rotularia leptostoma so far---I can't help but wonder why I've never found a single specimen out of either at the site.... BobC
Cool stuff and very different from what you find here in most of Central Texas. I have never collected at Whiskey Bridge because no one has ever bothered to ask me, mentioning no names like Owen or Mikey.

Wrangellian
Nice ones. Are these wet or did you finish them with something shiny? Always nice to see pics of places you have specimens from, thanks for posting.
