sixgill pete
xiphodon / hastalis could be argued all day. some people recognize the xiphodon ID, some do not. I label mine as hastalis broad form. I also think Al Dente could be correct on #3 and possibly #5 as being texanus, goblin shark. The problem with getting an ID on a lot of the GMR teeth is that they are broken and/or very worn.Though most of yours here are in pretty good shape, especially that sweet GW lower. When I use elasmo.com to help ID teeth from GMR, I click on fauna's and then the Black Creek formation instead of using the general page. But the link Al Dente posted is also very good for GMR ID's. John Hamilton
I think your Eostriatolamia (pic 3) and your Isurus (pic 5) are actually Scapanorhynchus texanus. A good site to identify some of your GMR teeth is "Fossil of New Jersey" at : http://www.geocities...sharks_main.htm This site has nice pictures and many of the Cretaceous teeth are also found in Green's Mill Run. Thank you Al. I will be sure to check this site out and add it to my favorites.
