CreekCrawler
Made a quick run up to post oak creek in Sherman Tx for some quick fossil action. I had my buddy Bobby in tow and our plan was to leave Grayson county in time to make it back home for the big bowl game.We ariived at 11 am and hunted until 2:45 p... There was no evidence of prior fossil colleting at the local we were at.Smooth gravel as far as the eye could see. I started finding material right away.... The funniest find of the day was the large Cretodus tooth.I placed my backpack down on the gravel bar to crawl the perimeter and after 30 minutes of crawling the bar I stood up walked over to my backpack and spotted the giant right next to my backpack.Go Figure Most complete and large Cretodus I have found thus far.. I was thinking about heading out there sometime soona nd could use some company if you are game. Jon I have a canoe and yak as well, however my motor has conked out lately and needs some repair. I'm sure a few days rest and my dual outboards will be ready to go. I have a spot checked out that has plenty of artifact potential, and has marine megafossils present.
