We had to walk up the water infested river for 1.6 miles, but it was worth it when I found this.

Beautiful finds, Kevin. Articulated mosasaur vertebrae are found less often in Texas than Kansas.

Thanks, I actually found the fish vert inbetween the concrete slabs as I was heading back out. It was a pleasant surprise at the last minute.

This is a beautiful piece of vertebrae. Really, really nice find. You've got to love when a find like this makes a trek up river worth while!

Quite nice! How was the water level? It was still pretty deep last weekend.

Again, great photography. The pieces just seem to hang there and the detail is great. Oh yeah, very nice verts too!

Thanks. The water was 2-4 feet and very muddy. It was lowering quickly so it should be great in a few days. It was hard work, but well worth it.

That's a shark vert, by the way.

And a mighty fine one as well.

Go find the rest of that mosasaur. Its at the surface somewhere upstream...

There's a couple in the DPS that found most of a HUGE Tylosaur by finding that first couple of vertebrae!

Now they have a 6 ft. skull to look at every day!

The 20-30 pounds of pet wood and way more water on my back then I needed made it even harder. :)

Wow it's so three dimensional, as if the creature just died recently.

Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!
