megateeth
The Megalodon teeth in the last three photos are not massive but they are in top condition. The lower Mako is over 3-1/8" long which is very rare. The smaller 2" Mako has a deformed blade and root so it is also a pretty cool tooth. It was a good dive. tommcclees
Beautiful! Is the the center tooth in the first pic a serrated Meg? Where would that be in the jaw?

megateeth
Beautiful! Is the the center tooth in the first pic a serrated Meg? Where would that be in the jaw? Thanks!! It is the far right tooth in the second photo and it is a posterior tooth from the back of the jaw. earthdog
Awesome teeth megateeth. My favorite thing with teeth is when they're preserved so well. The 4 megs in the pics of 6 teeth are preserved amazingly well. If it weren't for their black color, they look like they were shed yesterday. You bring up some wonderful stuff ! MikeDOTB
Wow Bill, those are some awesome little teeth! I guess the visibility was pretty good the other day? Love the little hubbel meg! Wow, I would pick those up all day long and be just as happy as finding a six inch tooth! Not that I would be unhappy finding a big tooth either! Great finds, thanks for posting! DO, or do not. There is no try.
sixgill pete
Very nice Bill, as usual. The teeth you find are amazing. Do you hunt any land sites around Savannah? megateeth
Thanks all. Pete, I do not. Most of the sites on land that I know of are from dredging and the larger stuff is broken up. Plus they are a lot further than my dive sites. Megateeth Fossils - Megalodon Teeth, Other Shark Teeth and Info about Megalodon shark tooth collecting. sixgill pete
OK Bill, thanks. I was wondering because my sister lives in Bluffton SC and I have been trying to find places in the area to hunt when I am there visiting. megateeth
OK Bill, thanks. I was wondering because my sister lives in Bluffton SC and I have been trying to find places in the area to hunt when I am there visiting. There was a charter service that someone told me did a fossil trip near HHI. I tried finding them when I was staying on HHI but could not find them. I dove the May River a lot in Bluffton. It was a great Meg spot. You could even get them in 30 feet of water diving right off the beach but I have not been there in years.
