Foshunter
Went to one of my past productive sites between rain showers to see what if anyhing had been exposed. This is believe it or not, a helicopter landing pad area that has a limestone base and cement landing area--you have to hunt them where you find them. The rains had washed out a few goodies that were pretty easy to prep out, one that I hadn't run across before. The regular ech. is an Eocene Gargaria mossomi, the other is a Clypeaster that I don't have an ID on yet. Also found an interesting bryozoan that is cone shapped with a depth of about 1/2 inch.---Tom Grow Old Kicking And Screaming !!"Don't Tread On Me"
masonboro37
I envy your echinoid finds. The bryozoa is great and I have a couple which are similar. I was on my usual beach hunt this morning and found some nice coral, but that is it. Thanks for sharing. Process of identification "mistakes create wisdom". KyWahine
Wow, nice finds. How I envy your adventures on the beach. Most of my fossils are mud-coated... ugh. But what an adventure cleaning them up a bit.
