Young Son Meets Great Great Grandfather....?

Hi all, Finally my wife and i got to take the boat Feb.27th out to the potomac river VA. Maryland side, stopped at a cliff side to do some hunting and could not believe all the digging going on at the cliff face.. the 4th pic shows about 7 small holes someone made for there feet to climb up to and dig a larger hole.. There was a good amount of fresh collapsing going on i

was to afraid to walk the cliff face i did see fresh footprints at the face of the cliff wall i told my wife and myself not to even get close... if i was going to find anything it would have to be at the waters edge, when large trees fall off the cliff they reach well in to the water.. also all kinds of large sand stone clay blocks thousands of pounds. So i walked at the waters edge only and i think it paid off playing it safe.. i found what i think might be a C. Auriculatus a liitle over two inches or it might be just be a Otodus obliquus or is it Carcharodon orientalis some one please help me get it right.. :zzzzscratchchin: the tooth has serrations and almost looks like there's two small double cusps...when looking at the front of the tooth when its in the jaw of the shark.. about 200 feet down the beach i found a small juvenile C. Meg.. so it would be the young son if i got it right and the other tooth the great great grandfather.??? Also some small hemis, small lower mako, and a vert bone that i posted in the id sec... well try to post more pics tomorrow of the cliffside...

That area goes from Eocene to Miocene, it's probably an Auriculatus due to the serrations. For comparison my avatar is a Carcharocles Aksuaticus with a weakly serrated blade. - G

Yep, auriculatus, and looks like a nice one. They are always a pleasure to find.
