megateeth
I found this massive tooth today with just a few minutes left. It was just laying there completely exposed in a spot I have dove many times. I only had a 6" ruler on the boat and it did not look like it reached the 6-1/4" range, but when I got home I found it measured 6.43". The tip is chipped but it is still an awesome tooth. It would have easily hit 6-1/2" if the tip were there. The rest of the teeth are in the next two photos. The nicest are the small lower Megalodon tooth and the benedini. megateeth
Thanks everyone. I only had about ten minutes of air left. I was in about 40 feet of water and the vis with the light was 4-6 inches which is about as good as it gets. I hit a little sandy ledge and followed it down and it was just sitting there on the bottom. It was pretty exciting. Auspex
...It was pretty exciting. Um, yeah... Not that I'll ever know what, exactly, I would have done at that moment, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't write about it on a family-friendly forum...
