Ameuraman
Here are some photos of a couple of Ameura Missouriensis pygidiums that i found yesterday while out collecting with my almost three year old son. The fossils were found in the Middle Creek Limestone member which is the lower part of the Swope formation in the Kansas city group. Location is 87th and 71 Highway by the Fireman's Memorial. Ameuraman
Complete finds of A.Missouriensis are extremely rare, I have found at least 15 pygidiums in the last year. Only one partial cephelon. As for preping, I would love to prep them out, but alas, no tools. Someday!
