Foshunter
Don't know a lot about that time period in Texas but know enough to appreciate well preserved fossils---Nice finds---Tom Edited March 21, 2012 by Foshunter Grow Old Kicking And Screaming !!"Don't Tread On Me"
Uncle Siphuncle
Good crinoid crowns like these are much harder to find in Texas than trilobites, at least in my experience. Thanks for representin' the Texas Paleozoic. Grüße, Daniel A. Wöhr aus Südtexas "To the motivated go the spoils."

fossiladdict
Nice crowns! I need the clean the few I found up. My trilobite is already in my display case as well as my petalodus teeth . I think I have over a hundred of those little brachs! I ALWAYS enjoy being invited to go with HGMS. They are such a WONDERFUL group! Fossils are simply one of the coolest things on earth--discovering them is just marvelous! Makes you all giddy inside!

thair
Sorry erose I meant to type Cen Tex. I did not even notice that. Roz, the ones pictured 1st & 3rd are but the one in the middle is from near Santa Anna.
erose
Thair, That is what I figured. We (Paleo Society of Austin) were up there in January and had a good trip as well. I got a few nice teeth and some decent crinoid stuff but nothing like that spiny crown. Now I see how some of the individual bits I have found fit together. If you ID them let us all know. Was the Santa Anna site near the little lakes? We skipped that since we started at Wilson and no one wanted to leave. Next year we will start at Santa Anna and then go to Wilson. If they would let me, I would camp at Wilson and collect an entire weekend! ERose

fossiladdict
Love that petalodus tooth- that red was very distinct and pretty. Yeah for trilobites..yours was more white than mine. Roz- I'm getting there. Been busy as all get out but will get there hopefully by next weekend. Fossils are simply one of the coolest things on earth--discovering them is just marvelous! Missourian
Nice fossils all, especially the Petalodus and spiny crown. Is that blood on the tooth? Context is critical.
