vertman
The first image looks like a plesiosaur tooth to me. Do you know if those are found in your area? I can't tell much about the second image.

fossilsofnj
Doesn’t look quit right for Mosasaur, part of the root is present which you don’t normally see on a shed Mosasaur tooth. Are you sure this is Cretaceous? It's good sportsmanship to not pick up lost golf balls while they are still rolling. - Mark Twain
Hipockets
Auspex, it is from a Rocky Point site in Nc.
Auspex
It is more laterally compressed than the Mosasaur teeth I am used to seeing...not that I have seen them all or am any kind of expert. Do I detect very fine "serrations" on the cutting edge? sixgill pete
First I must say very nice find Skylar, great tooth. This tooth, I believe I am correct; came from the Peedee formation. The same formation as Lake Waccamaw. According to Elasmo.com there has been Carnosaur/Hadrosaur femur bones found there. Dinosaur tooth is a distinct possibility. Skylar see if you can take some better photo's including close ups of the cutting edges, that would be very helpful.
