The second phtoto looks to me like chert inclusions in limestone (not a fossil, but often confued for a fossil), and the third photo looks like an explanation of rugose corals. I'm not sure those are chert nodules, better pictures are needed for sure. Missourian Posted April 8, 2012 Share Posted April 8, 2012 Nice corals, and wonderful landscape. With dipping, fossiliferous strata and lack of vegetation, I'd be like a kid in a candy store. I would love to follow the ravines as I work my way up or down the stratigraphic column and see what shows up in each bed. Context is critical.
