calciteguy
I had a really good day in the field with a group of first time collectors. This was a group of seniors who have a strong interest in earth science but have no experience fossiling. So on site we did a brief intro to what to look for and an hour and a half later they had collected clams, 2 echinoid species (lots), many rudis, a variety of gastropods and some nice oyster varieties. All went home happy and excited to try this again. Our oldest collector was 83. Now - we want to try Waco pit in mid May. Has anyone been there this spring who can give a collecting update on conditions there? Thanks Edited April 13, 2012 by calciteguy
