erose Posted April 13, 2012 Share Posted April 13, 2012 You should scout the site. The trail in is usually easy until you get right down to the bottom, especially if it is muddy. It has also been my experience that the site always has some muddy sections (well maybe not last summer!) and you just have to negotiate your way around what is there. I've gone in sneakers and managed to get in good collecting and still stay out of the mud. You live in the region so you know rain is spotty, hit-or-miss right now. Just keep an eye on the forecast.
