JimB88
Found this slab last weekend. I noticed on the back of it there are several crinoids that seem to have been split length-wise. I was wondering how would the folks who have worked with crinoids prepare this or is it even worth it to do so. This first pic is of a section I took off hoping it would expose to calyx better...it didnt Here's the slab, Ive circled the crinoids in blue..the red is where the previous specimen was (that's its stem below it.) Here's a close-up on the smaller one... A couple of pics from the reverse side (the part that was exposed.) The circled black bit is a piece of vert material (a spine I believe.) JimB88
The other part of the other side..circled this time are crinoid arms... And for no apparent reason I'll post this pic of an Ornithachia snail found deeper in the same matrix...

Fossildude19
Where's Crinoid Queen, or Crinus when you need them? JimB88
I sent a pm to Crinoid Queen and she was very helpful. For now I'll leave them as is until such a time as I can afford an air abrasion unit.
