Recommended Posts

This is my last hunt of the month in France ;) ,i decided to go to Wimereux,to hunt in the Portlandian(Upper Jurassic)

I found a very big ammonite but too erodate (still on the beach),many pelecypods and an actual echinoid,it would be better after a good tempest, but i like a lot the site :)

Great report, as always, Gery!

Thank you for posting!

The echinoid is quite interesting.

Wow, you sure have beautiful places to hunt in.

I'm guessing the "actual" echinoid is a modern one, not fossil?

Hi,

Nice area ! I think your recent sea urchin is Psammechinus miliaris.

Very cool beach.... I like the kinds you can find fossils on. :)
