Oilshale And Opal

Today I have gone SanShui(GuangDong, China) in hot and shining day. Very HOT!

But this time, we not only found fish,but also opal,gypsum. :D :D

First, fish in oilshale,Eocene

In fact, I don't very sure if its opal.....

In fact, Sanshui bird had been found and reported (Sanshuiornis zhangi

The preparation on that type-specimen is amazing!

To me, it looks rather like botryoidal chalcedony.
