Rockin' Ric
Not much of a hunting trip, I drove by a rock-cut, stopped and thought I'd take a look several months back. Found this 3D Calamite stem still in the matrix. The cast loosened into several pieces. Love finding these things, I have found many that just pop out of the stone like you see here. 3D Calamite stem cast WELCOME TO ALL THE NEW MEMBERS! traveltip1
Nice find on the 3D Calamite casts - and it does not even appear to be compressed at all.
Rockin' Ric
Thanks guys! I enjoy finding these things, amazingly the casts also come in different shades of color too but most have been the grey tint. Traveltip1, what you see in the pic is completely round. I have found many that were compressed 3D as well as 2D. Get the best of both worlds down here! WELCOME TO ALL THE NEW MEMBERS!
