CousinLarry
Hello - im going to Cape Hatteras in a couple weeks. I'll be down South in Buxton. Does anyone know of any good spots to find shark teeth? I've looked before but never found anything. Figured you guys may know of a productive spot?! Thanks for any help!! sixgill pete
There have been many posts on here asking about the Outer banks. Like this one here from a few days ago.http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php/topic/30898-nc-outer-banks/ ... the outer banks area of NC is not known for fossils. The better fossil areas (and beaches for fun and play in my opinion) are farther south. Bouge Banks, Onslow Beach, Topsail Island and the beaches in the Cape Fear area are better known for fossils. But the outer banks are much more popular with people from the northern latitudes. But, the fishing is great up around Hatteras and Buxton along with Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo. Enjoy your trip.
