MikeR
I know that this is a stretch but you never know unless you ask. I will be working in Saudi Arabia for a couple of weeks in October. Does anyone know of any fossil collecting opportunities between Riyadh and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia? Missourian
According to the geo map shown here: http://www.codex99.com/cartography/images/saudi_geology_lg.jpg There are strata from Triassic through Miocene along that stretch. Finding a decent outcrop on the vast, flat plain may be a challenge, though. Forum member Jocky is based in Qatar. His collecting trip threads may provide some insight into Arabian Desert hunting. Context is critical.
