Collector donates fossils to UT Martin (Geology professor

George Stone, of Carterville, Ill., made his second

gift of museum-quality trilobites to to University of

Tennessee at Martin.

Good news for the reputation of amateurs and their contributions to science. :)

The popular press gets a "D" though:

George has been donating to a couple places over the years, we have some here at the Illinois Geological Survey as well. He is very generous with his treasure of trilobites.
