New Members rasellersjr Posted September 14, 2012 New Members Share Posted September 14, 2012 (edited) I found this tooth on the gulf shore at Panama City Beach, FL. It is only about 1/4" long. Edited September 14, 2012 by rasellersjr
fossiladdict
Looks like part of a "dove" that comes out of the sand dollars to me. It's missing one side. Fossils are simply one of the coolest things on earth--discovering them is just marvelous! Makes you all giddy inside!
Auspex
To me, it looks like a surf-worn fragment of a shell, from back near the hinge line, or maybe part of a sand dollar. It has a tooth-like shape, but it lacks a prime feature of teeth; it has no enamel.
