New Members Jkorr Posted September 17, 2012 New Members Share Posted September 17, 2012 (edited) Found this when I was living in the Black Hills area in South Dakota. Also, there's little fossilized shrimp or worms on the shell Edited September 17, 2012 by Jkorr
Auspex
It's a big oyster, with serpulid worm tubes on it. Was it found in the context of a fossil (buried in the stratum), or could it have somehow found its way out of a garden, or other decorative application? I ask because it rather resembles a recent shell in condition, especially on the inner surface.
