First of all Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the U.S.!

I finally found my first shark tooth! This came from the blue hills shale, carlile formation, upper Cretaceous(Kansas ). I've been searching Oceans of Kansas and the closest I have found so far is scapanorhynchus r. rhaphiodon, but I really have no idea. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you! Nothing special for most, but a big deal to me. I've been wanting to find one for a long time and glad could find one on my own. Here's a photo of the general area. It's beautiful.

Congrats on your first tooth, looking at the landscape there are most likely other interesting fossils to be found. Oceans of kansas is a great resource, study it so you can be familiar with other fossil shapes, never know what you might run across. No doubt it is Creto. app., will send pictures if you need them. Thanks for the confirmatio on id! I love the OoK website and do study it regularly, trust me. :) Anecdotely, I found the tooth and was hunting fairly close to where he found the Credotus.

It was about what I expected. A lot of ammonites and a tooth. Didn't have too long to look though and really just wanted to explore as it is such a neat area. Here's a couple of other not so spectacular finds.

Ammonite was complete but in pieces.
