Doug D. just mentioned it as a possibility when I talked to him today on the phone.

Bottom line is NO ONE today has a clue where the show will be held in 2014.

The MAPS people only recently decided to move the show ... 1st reason was

the closing of the Days Inn (home of the Jump Start show) and apparently many

motels in town were booked for some kind of college event around the time of the show...

but that info came 3rd hand. To top it off ... I don't really think the University was

really that thrilled with us being there.

Yes I heard the University was really not liking us there any longer in the hall, had more important stuff or going to charge us alot more or something. Well time will tell how all this works out.

MAPS fossil show will be at the Sharpless Auctions facility

in Iowa City, Iowa ... Someone the other day said he thought

it had a "dirt" parking lot ... but that was from memory driving by

there a few years ago.

Sharpless Auctions

Looks like gravel or something like that not just dirt, but still can you imagine pushing carts on gravel? I do not like look of place frankly quite a come down, let alone how many people who are not comming because they follow the web page will not be there? I am worried that attendance will be way down.

What web page are you referring to ??

The promo website I built and update every year was updated

http://www.lakeneosh...MAPS/index.html

Agree once someone saw the page for the 2013 show still on

in Macomb might not check it again later ... But what the heck

THEY just changed the location and now the word is starting to leak out.

I guess you may be referring to the MAPS home page which still

has the big red banner on it with MAPS 34 showing Macomb

and referring to the change in location in text to the left.

Bet ya a buck there will be some showing up for the show in Macomb

at least just for the day on Saturday ... you can just imagine their "Shock Face" !!

:o:wacko:
